"Herein know we, that we dwell in Him, and He in us: because He hath given us of His Spirit." I John 4:13 "Will you take Jesus and "dwell in him? See, this house is furnished with all you need. It is filled with riches more than you will spend as long as you live. Here you can have intimate communion with Christ and feast on His love. Here are tables well-stored with food for you to live on forever. In it, when weary, you can find rest with Jesus. From it, you can look out and see heaven itself. Will you have the house? If you are homeless, you will say, "I would like to have the house; may I have it?" Yes, there is the key. The key is, "Come to Jesus." "But," you say, "I am too shabby for such a house." Never mind, for there are clothes inside. If you feel guilty and condemned, come; and though the house is too good for you, Christ will make you good enough for the house in time. He will wash you and cleanse you, and you will yet be able to sing, "We dwell in him." Believer, you are thrice blessed to have such a dwelling place! You are greatly privileged, for you have a "strong habitation" Psalm 71:3 in which you are ever safe. Dwelling in Him, you have not only a perfect and secure house, but also an everlasting one. When this world will have melted like a dream, our house will live and stand more imperishable than marble, more solid than granite, self existent as God, for it is God Himself--"We dwell in Him." Charles Spurgeon In the house of the Lord, there is no lack. And in Him, every need is met. Every need, physical, spiritual, financial, family, questions, emotional ~ all are met in Him. At the table of the Lord, there is no hunger or thirst. He lacks nothing but has all in abundance. If we hunger and thirst after Him, we will be filled, not with the nourishment that comes from this world, but with the nourishment from heaven. His table is always set and available all we have to do is go to Him and dine and be filled. ~ Always available ~ ~Always ~ There is no hunger, no thirst, no lack in His presence ~ at His table. This world will leave us empty no matter how much we try and fill, and fill, and fill. ~ But God ~ Praise His Holy Name ~ He fills and we never hunger or thirst again! In the dwelling place of the Lord is found all we need or desire. He has supplied all in over-abundance. Let's go to Him and be filled. "But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him, shall never thirst, but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. " John 4:14 As Women Finding Grace ~ Let us always be found dining at the table of the Lord, where there is never lack.

"Fret not thyself because of the wicked men, neither be envious for the evildoers. For they shall soon be cut down like grass, and shall wither as the green herb. Trust thou in the Lord and do good: dwell in the land, and thou shalt be fed assuredly. And delight thyself in the Lord, and He shall give thee thine heart's desire." Psalm 37: 1-4 We live in a society out of control. How do we find our security and peace? Noah lived in such days. The Word never says that he stumbled, in all those years of preaching ~ to non-responsive ears ~ but kept walking with the Lord in obedience. And Noah and his family were safe during the judgement. "But the evil men and deceivers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned, and which are committed unto thee, knowing of whom thou hast learned them." II Timothy 3:13-14 "For the mountains shall remove, and the hills shall fall down; but my mercy shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace fall away, saith the Lord, that hath compassion on thee. O thou afflicted and tossed with the tempest, that hast no comfort, behold, I will lay thy stones with the carbuncle, and lay thy foundation with the sapphires, And I will make thy windows of emeralds, and thy gates shining stones, and lay thy borders of pleasant stones. And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord, and much peace shall be to thy children. In righteousness shalt thou be established, and be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear it: and from fear; for it shall not come near thee. Behold, the enemies shall gather himself, but without me: whosoever shall gather himself in thee, against thee, shall fall. Behold I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and him that bringeth forth an instrument for this work, and I have created the destroyer to destroy. But all the weapons that are made against thee, shall not prosper: and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgement, thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the Lord's servants, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord." Isaiah 54:10-13 Such beautiful promises for such troubling times. Take up the heritage of those gone before us and walk in righteousness in the midst of a perverse and wicked generation; the Lord is with all those who cry out to Him in holiness and we can take comfort in His promises to us and to our children. Whatever lies before us is already in the Lord's hands. Let's carry on with the work of our hands to bring Him glory, to find out His ways and to seek His face~ now more than ever. Let us find peace and security in "the heritage (the heirloom; estate) of the Lord's servants." As Women Finding Grace ~ Let's find our hope and security in Him. |
