"Teach me thy way, O Lord, and I will walk in thy truth: knit my heart unto thee, that I may fear thy Name." Psalm 86:11
~ Our Dear Rachel ~
Our sweet Rachel turned 28 this year. Her life is such a testament of God's goodness and grace. She wasn't supposed to live at birth, and then the doctors told us she would live in a vegetated state
with no abilities to talk or do much of anything. Well, here she is, a statement of God's grace and goodness showing us daily that God is with us and He is good.

~LIFE-CHAIN~
Prayer for the lives of the unborn, this nation-wide Life-Chain event is so important. This year my granddaughters were with us...and I pray that they don't fully know what this is...just that it is bad. The innocence of little Liberty holding these signs to stop this horrific crime against the lives of the unborn captured my heart. God, I pray for my darling grandchildren and the world they are growing up in... Please intervene... II Chronicles 7:14
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." Whatever, God, it takes I will do for them and their future.

PRAYER AT THE CAPITOL
On September 26, Prayer Vigils were held across the world for Bro. Saeed Abedini, an American pastor being held in an Iranian prison since 2012 only on the grounds of his faith. This time of prayer at the Capitol was also for the entire persecuted church. There are many websites for continued updates and specific prayer requests for the world-wide persecuted church. Here are just a few:

~ HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY ~
This is my mother. A mother which has faced so much adversity in her life. We learn from her ~ endurance, faith and perseverance.
She has suffered the loss of four children, two years of my dad in Vietnam when only four came back in his platoon, living with my dad's PTSD (a disorder my dad still suffers with), and two battles with cancer.
Dad suffers not only from PTSD, but also for the last six years from trigeminal neuralgia, a debilitating facial nerve pain. She faithfully takes care of him and stays by his side, a perfect example of Proverbs 31:12 "She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life." Happy Mother's Day Mom, thank you for your example of faith and courage. We love you.

Resurrection Weekend
Family & Friends
Wednesday night before Passover
Weekend with Family
Resurrection Sunday
We celebrate simply. We had our Passover meal on Friday night and we always have Communion on Sunday morning with a special candlelight devotion.
This is how we choose to remember the cross and celebrate His resurrection, simply and reverently.

The Fam
We finally got an entire family pic, (only missing one granddaughter), including my stepson, Jeremy and his boys. What a blessed weekend.

The Billy Graham Library
This trip was so worth our time. We saw The Billy Graham Library and The Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove. These sites can be seen here and here.
Keith was able to stand behind the pulpit that Rev. Graham used in his travels and Kailey was able to sit at George Beverly Shea's piano.
We had the sweetest tour guide at the chapel.
Montreat, North Carolina
~ A hidden mountain retreat ~
Such a gorgeous place, it was hard to leave. We later found out that Rev. BIlly Graham lives in Montreat, earning well-deserved rest. Explore more about Montreat, here

The children's table was set perfectly. (Thanks to Pinterest.)
Although the frame needed adjusting for this picture, I still wanted to show it off. This is a frame I found at a flea market dated 1930. I bought it and saved it for three years before I knew what I wanted to do with it that would respect its age. I had a magnetic chalkboard put in it and it hangs in our dining room to use for scriptures, quotes, birthdays and holidays. I still just love it as much as I did when I first found it.
